Gone fishin'

Not really. I'm excited and honored to be asked to edit book two in the Redemption series by my friend, R.K. Ryals. Book one is Redemption-- it's available for $ .99 on Kindle. Check it out!

Book two is Ransom, and continues the YA story of a foul-mouthed, convent-raised teenager, Dayton, who gets swept up in a war between Angels and Demons. I've read the first chapter, and it's going to be a wild ride.

So I go ... editing. Back in a couple of weeks. Love to all!

  1. Fantastic! Have fun.

And I was fixing to e-mail you today because you've been on my mind :).

  2. A wordsmith! I think it sounds fun and hope you get a lot of personal satisfaction out of the process. Of course, I taught language arts to middle school students for sixteen years, including writing, so editing comes second nature. I used green ink, instead of red, and made a lot of new friends, quickly.

  5. Hey Jane-- you've been on my mind, too. I tried so hard to find a way to keep blogging, commenting on my ever-growing number of favorite blogs, and teaching full-time... and editing for R. K. but realized... I can't do it all, or I can't do it all and stay reasonably sane.
Miss you and I'll be baacckk.

  6. Hi Mark-- love that term wordsmith and feel so humble that you applied it to me! How great that you used green ink. I just use black or blue, but green would make a refreshing change.
I'll look forward to catching up on your blog in a couple of weeks!

  8. Masked Mom-- you are amazingly prolific, lady, and I hope I don't fall too far out of the loop during my hiatus. Blog on, and look for me back over your way soon!

  10. Hi Virginia-- I guess I am a certified blogging addict, and it's going to be hard (impossible?) to stay away for long.
I tried to get editing last night, and the smoke detectors at Mom's house would not stop beeping, even with new batteries! So I was playing electrician, and not very well, either. It's a communist plot, I decided, but tonight, I better get editing or else.
You know I am thinking of you and the stress of moving. Here's to new beginnings!
    Love,
    Mel
